Wall panels for kitchens
A kitchen wall panel is a heat-resistant (up to 80 °C), wipe-clean and grout-free PVC covering for splashbacks, kitchen islands and dining-area walls. A 3-metre sheet covers most splashbacks in one piece, and it can be bonded over old tiles.

Good to know
What does heat-resistant up to 80 °C mean?
The panel keeps its shape up to 80 °C: steam from cooking, hot water spray, vapour from the sink and cleaning products do it no harm. Behind electric and induction hobs it is therefore a fully fledged splashback.
An open flame is a different matter: PVC does not belong right next to a gas burner — there the flame zone needs a glass or metal splashback, and the panel can continue across the rest of the wall.
✓ Suitable behind
Induction and electric hobs, sinks, worktops, coffee corners, kitchen island fronts, dining-area walls.
✗ Not suitable
Right next to the open flame of a gas burner, in front of an oven vent, or inside a fireplace.
Frequently asked questions
Can a wall panel go directly behind the hob?
Behind electric and induction hobs, yes: the panel keeps its shape up to 80 °C and copes with steam and hot water spray. It is not suitable next to the open flame of a gas burner; there you need a glass or metal splashback in the flame zone.
How do I clean a greasy kitchen splashback?
Grease spray wipes off the non-porous PVC surface with a mild degreaser and a soft cloth, as there is no grout for dirt to settle into. Do not use scouring products.
What size panel do I need for a kitchen splashback?
The strip between the worktop and the wall cabinets is typically 60 cm high, so in most kitchens the splashback can be cut from a single 3-metre sheet, without joining.
Can it go over old kitchen tiles?
Yes, with a bonding primer it can be bonded directly onto sound, flat tiles, so your splashback can be renewed in an afternoon, without demolition.
